The Beginning of Big Plaid Wolf!

I’m so excited to finally be starting a blog to document my cardmaking journey!

Who knew that I would have found such an amazing passion for stamping and papercrafting in such a short amount of time.  It all started just about a year ago when I was a senior in college and I was watching YouTube videos (most likely procrastinating my homework) and stumbled upon the wonderfully creative Vicky Papaioannou’s videos.  From there I found Jennifer McGuire, Kristina Werner, and so many other talented and innovative crafters who have influenced me greatly.  Before this I had never even known that clear stamps existed or that there were so many phenomenal companies dedicated to cardmaking and crafting.

I fell in love and watched video after video of card techniques and taught myself everything.  One day when I met with my mom for lunch I unloaded all my new found knowledge on her and we got started slowly building up a collection.  Starting with our very first stamps sets (from Lawn Fawn!) and acrylic blocks with some Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Since then our collection has grown immensely (well…as immensely as someone who just started paying off student loans can manage…) and we very recently added our very first Sizzix Big Kick to the party.

Eventually I found the cardmaking community on Instagram and fell in love even more.  I started posting photos and getting incredibly kind feedback and I have felt so welcome.

I hope to branch out even further and spread my crafty wings with this blog and I hope that anyone who stumbles upon it has a wonderful time and can somehow be inspired like I was when I found this wonderful community for myself. ❤
